Adeyemi obtained a PhD from Middlesex University, with a study that explored social enterprise strategies for the circular economy in Lagos. Part of this work looks at how such organizations organize to meet commercial, social and environmental objectives. After his PhD he decided to further explore opportunities in the circular economy. This led him to the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the Sustainable Materials Innovation Hub to work on the ‘One Bin to Rule Them All project’, focusing on the economic realities aspect of it. He also has an MBA from the University of Salford, where his research won the Dean’s Award for Excellence in the Business Innovation Live Project category for the year 2015.
